Pneu-Dart Inc. announces its Next Generation Marking Injection Device. According to Pneu-Dart President Blair D. Soars, the company’s redefined marking injection device provides both a marking function, as well as an injection function using a single-ignition system. The net result is reduced length and net weight of the device.
The reduction in length improves accuracy, while the reduction in weight reduces the potential for hematomas at the point of impact. According to Soars, hematomas (coagulated blood) can cause delayed induction of the medication. In turn, this can trigger a phenomenon known as secondary sedation and/or reduced efficacy.
