Lockwood stays perfect, Davis back on track in Chicago

Cooper Davis rebounded significantly from his opening weekend in NYC, riding 3 of 3 bulls, highlighted by splitting the event championship round win and finishing third overall in the event.  Cooper earned 300 world points and is currently seventh in the PBR world standings with those same 300 points

Jess Lockwood continued his perfection as he rode 3 of 3 bulls over the weekend to win yet again, the first bull rider to win the first two events of the regular season (Premier Series) since 2007 (JB Mauney).  Jess is currently riding a streak of 8 consecutive bulls, the longest of his career.  He won round one and split the event championship round win which gives him four round wins on the year to date.  Lockwood earned 640 world points and remains atop the world standings with 1617.50 points.  In his own words after the event win, “Gosh, I just feel so good right now, I feel like I’m firing on all cylinders and I’m back to the form I was when I won the world title. But I also know it’s early in the season and there’s like 26 more events to go. I just have to take it one bull at a time, one event at a time and as long as I do my job, I’ll continue to be successful.”

Derek Kolbaba rode Check Mate for 86, and Mission Impossible for 82, going 2 for 3 and finishing 11th with 168.5 points
