Los Angeles – Iron Cowboy presented by Ariat results

This past weekend’s Iron Cowboy event was a progressive-elimination format competition.  Each rider attempted a bull in round one and if successful he advanced to round 2.  If he failed in his attempt he was done for the weekend.  The ‘Major’ event featured a minimum of two rounds and a maximum of five, with at least 25 riders advancing to Round 2. If fewer than 25 riders advance to Round 2, the remaining spots in the draw were filled by the world standings heading into the event.

Cooper Davis went 0 for 2 over the weekend.  Cooper moved on to round 2 based on his top ten standings position but failed to take advantage of the second bull to advance.  Cooper remains 8th in the PBR world standings with 615 points.

Jess Lockwood is out of competition with a broken collarbone and will be for the foreseeable future.  The early diagnosis is six weeks’ rest and rehabilitation which would put him back in action at the Kansas City event March 23rd – 24th.  I will continue to update you as soon as I know more information.  Jess remains number one in the PBR world standings with 2,098 points.

Derek Kolbaba tied for 10th place, riding 1/1 on Force Awaken for 85 points.
