Cooper Davis was back in action after sitting out Tacoma, WA and went 1 for 3. Cooper won round 1, his fourth round win of the season but was unable to compete in the 15 / 15 Bucking Battle Saturday night, nor the event championship round Sunday afternoon due to injuries sustained during his buck-offs. A left shoulder strain from the ground Saturday night held him from the additional 15 / 15 round (X-Rays came back negative for a suspected fracture), and he re-aggravated the same wrist injury that kept him out of Tacoma Sunday in round 3 to hold him out of the championship round. Cooper is considering getting an MRI early this week, and Dr. Tandy Freeman has him listed as questionable for the upcoming Billings, MT event. I will continue to update you as we get closer to the weekend. Through all of that, Cooper finished eighth in the event and earned 105 world points. He remains in the top 10, currently 10th in the PBR world standings with 875 points.
Jess Lockwood continues to rest and rehabilitate his collarbone and his return to competition is unknown at this time. We are at the point that Jess is week to week, so I will continue to keep you posted as we get closer to the Billings draw release. Jess is currently third in the PBR world standings with 2,098 points.
Derek Kolbaba went 0 for 3 for the competition.
