Jess Lockwood was a perfect 4 for 4 over the weekend to secure his first win of the season and begin the year ranked as the number one bull rider in the world. Highlights for Jess included a tie for the round win Friday night, and the event championship round win with an event high 91.75 point score. With this first event being one of the 4 PBR “Majors” Lockwood earned 895 world standings points and a $118,000 payday for his efforts.
To complete the flawless weekend, Jess covered his attempt Friday night in the 15 / 15 Bucking Bull Challenge. A tie for second place earned him 82.5 world standings points.
Derek Kolbaba had a re-ride in the 3rd round on Wiz Train for a score of 78.25
